Vertus

The vinous, fruity expression of a Pinot Noir from Vertus.

Eye

Satiny and fairly dense appearance, pale yellow with buttercup-yellow reflections, continuous stream of fine bubbles.

Nose

Elegant and concentrated first nose: cherry pit, peach, quince, baked apple, brioche, honeysuckle. Once aerated: honey, liquorice, candied raspberry, dried apricot, marzipan, oriental spices, hints of kirsch.

Palate

Supple attack with creamy bubbles. Fleshy, crisp fruitiness sustained by a fresh acidity reminiscent of pink grapefruit. A more velvety and generous mid-palate, with added texture and volume.

Finish

A finish that embodies the vintage: fresh, vinous and fruity, lifted by aromas of marzipan, nougat, praline and kirsch.
