History · Since 1976

A house, a legacy.

More than a champagne, we share a family, a story, a direct bond with the terroir.

Champagne Guy Larmandier, Vertus

Chapter I

The origins

An independent winemaker in Champagne, Maison Guy Larmandier was founded in 1976 by Guy and Colette, heir to five generations of family know-how passed down with rigor and passion. Each generation has preserved its inheritance while bringing its own vision — combining respect for tradition with carefully measured innovation.

Set at the heart of our terroir, our vines receive constant care, from working the soil to the harvest, gathered with attention to preserve all the quality of the grape. True to the spirit of independent winemakers, we oversee every stage of our champagnes' creation: tending the vines, vinification, blending and distribution.

The continuity

Since 2000, François and Marie-Hélène have carried on Guy's work alongside Colette, perpetuating a style of elegance, freshness and character. In 2024, Marie-Hélène's children — Jean-Philippe, Pierre-Louis and Inès — joined the house in turn, bringing renewed momentum and modernity while inscribing themselves in the family's continuity.

Beyond the wine, our commitment is also a human one: to share our story, our passion, and to offer a sincere experience — close to those who taste our champagnes.

Portrait

The Guy Larmandier spirit

Three voices, one style — a family house devoted to chalk and chardonnay.

The winemaker

François

François embodies a living heritage and a mastered craft. Rooted in the terroir with a strong identity in the Côte des Blancs, his cuvées are fresh, mineral and structured. He has a fine, intimate knowledge of his plots.

Art & hospitality

Marie-Hélène

A woman of energy and character, Marie-Hélène blends her passion for art with her love of Champagne. She is known as « the woman with colors ».

The founders

Guy & Colette

In 1976, Guy and Colette Larmandier laid the foundations of the house. A winegrower at heart, Guy shaped the style: a champagne true to its terroir, to the chalk and chardonnay of the Côte des Blancs. Alongside him, Colette balanced family life with her work through rightness, determination and dedication. Together, they built an identity rooted in the art of living and the art of being — an epicurean philosophy that remains the soul of the estate today.

The family

Three generations, one same land.

From Guy, the founder, to the children growing up among the rows of chardonnay — the house is passed on like a way of life.
